Gong Ji-cheol, born on July 10, 1979, is a South Korean actor, better known by his stage name, Gong Yoo. His stage name is derived from his father’s surname, Gong, and his mother’s surname, Yoo. He is known for his radiant smile, masculine face, and model-like physique. Regardless of the role, Gong Yoo knows how to highlight his charming and handsome masculine beauty.

He began his career with small roles in various dramas and films, with his first role being a character in the 2001 film School 4. His acting talent caught the attention of directors and viewers alike, making him one of the most promising actors to watch. In 2016, Gong Yoo made a strong return to the industry. He starred in A Man and a Woman alongside Jeon Do-yeon, and took the lead in the blockbuster zombie-apocalypse film Train to Busan.
